What is Data Source  ?

Data Source  is an connectivity between weblogic  and Data Base

How to configure Data Source  in weblogic Server 9.2 ?

Data sources provide Database access and  connection management.

Steps to create Data Source :

1. In Administration Console, click Lock & Edit
2. In the Domain Structure tree, expand Services > JDBC, then select Data  Sources.
3. On the Summary of Data Sources page, click New.
4. Enter below details : Name , JNDI Name , Database Type , Database Driver then  click Next to continue.
5. In Supports Global Transactions select “two-Phase Commit” then click next
6. Enter below Details : Database Name , Host Name , Port , Database User Name , Password/Confirm Password , Click Next to continue.
7. For Test Database Connection , click Test Configuration then Click Next to continue. .
8. Then Click to Finish finally Activate changes
